If Real Girls is awarded the Mission: Small Business grant sponsored by Chase and Living Social, those funds would immediately be placed back into product design, development, and production.

Real Girls is one of the few lingerie companies that sew their clothing in Made in America lingerieAmerica (Los Angeles, CA). There is a definite need for increased US products in this marketplace.  We receive calls and emails from potential customers looking for specific items that we currently are unable to carry due to the cost of design and development.  This grant would allow us to expand our product offerings to include foundation-based intimate apparel which development is considered engineered, instead of designed.

The $3,000,000 grant program sponsored by Chase and Living Social is designed to help fuel small business forward.  The program is operated in conjunction with the US Chamber of Commerce.  12 grants in the amount of $250,000 will be awarded in September, 2012.  The selection criterion is based on essay entries on why the business is unique, an outline of how the funds will be utilized and the business businesses involvement in the community.
